If you are an experienced computer user, then you are probably familiar with the X applications included in the UNIX operating system. These applications allow you to connect to various online services and protocols, for sharing files, managing settings and so on. But as time passed, the Windows operating system became very popular, being used by almost any computer user. This is where the Xmanager comes in, offering you the power of X applications in the Windows environment.

This simple Windows program can be installed in the easiest manner possible, as it only requires a few clicks for completing this process. After installing the program, the user will notice that clicking on the desktop icon will open a folder, from where one can launch various applications.

As such, by clicking on the Xstart icon, the main interface of the application will be displayed, from where the user can select various protocols and services on which he can connect. The interface of the program is highly simple and intuitive and even an experienced computer user can manage and use it without much difficulty. The protocols supported by the application are TELNET, RLOGIN, SSH and so on. Connecting to one of these services only requires entering a username and password.

Each program session can be automatically saved, including the service type, username, password and other such information. Besides that, advanced users can use manual commands together with a session, for having a better control over the connected services.

Pros

It allows you to connect to various X applications, normally available on UNIX. Besides that, the program's interface is very simple to use and intuitive. Furthermore, there are various services and protocols available.

Cons

The full usage of the application requires some knowledge regarding networks. Xmanager allows you to easily connect to various UNIX applications in almost any Windows version.
